The last date of the group stage of the CONMEBOL Libertadores Futsal Championship 2024 was held on Friday, the 26th, with victories for Stein Cascavel and Racing, who achieved a perfect result by winning all four of their matches, and were crowned leaders of their groups.
Here are all the results, goals and more details for another exciting day in Cochabamba.
– Always Ready (BOL) 2-3 Racing Club (ARG) – Group A
In an exciting match, Argentina’s Racing Club achieved its fourth consecutive victory, against the local team Always Ready, and finished the group stage perfectly in its first participation in the largest continental women’s futsal tournament.
The Argentine team took the lead in the 14th minute with a goal by Vilma Ruiz, Antonella Sotero scored in the 5th minute and seconds before the end of the first half, Vilma Ruiz doubled the lead again. The home team scored goals by Adriana Sales in the 7th minute and Elisa Lopez in the 3rd minute of the second half.
Minutes before the end of the match, Always Ready had a chance to equalize from the penalty spot, but Nadia Alvarez saved Carla Ticona’s shot.
The Academy will face Exa Ysaty from Paraguay in the first semi-final at 4:00 p.m. (local time) at the Quillacollo Sports Center.
– Tigres Futsal (FIN) 2-2 Deportivo GAP (Peru) – Group A
Tigres of Venezuela and Deportivo Gap of Peru did not take advantage of each other in the final group stage of the tournament. The Venezuelan team finished fourth in the standings with two points, while Deportivo Gap came in last with one point.
Elizabeth Fernandez scored for Tigres in the 5th minute and Naye Conde equalized in the 1st minute of the first half. The Peruvian side took the lead through a goal from Raiveles Hernandez in the 18th minute and Fernandez scored again to give the final equalizer in the 10th minute of the second half.
Tigres will face Peñarol for seventh place and from Deportivo Gap, they will measure their strength against UD Chile for ninth place.
– Stein Cascavel (Brazil) 3-0 Xa Yesate (PAR) – Group 2
The reigning champions celebrated their fourth straight win, this time against Paraguay’s Xa Yesate, and qualified for the semi-finals as leaders of Group 2 with 12 points.
Alice, at 19. showed the way to victory, which was increased by conversions from Camelina in the 16th minute and Nunes in the 1st minute.
Despite suffering defeat, Exa Ysaty qualified for the semi-finals finishing second in their group.
Stein Cascavel will play the semi-final against Always Ready from Bolivia on Saturday 27, while Exa Ysaty will face Racing Club.
– Peñarol (Oro) 1-3 Llaneros (Fin) –
Llaneros de Venezuela beat Uruguay’s Peñarol 3-1 in the final of Group 2.
Although Shamila Gonzalez put the Carboneros ahead on 15 minutes, goals from Lizeth Camacho (10′); Nancy Madrid (8′) and Loren Sanchez (2′) brought the Llaneros back to their second win of the tournament.
The two teams will compete for the final places in the general table of the CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina Futsal Championship, which will be held in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
