In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called on the Lebanese in Sudan wishing to cross the Egyptian border to deposit copies of their passports at the embassy in Cairo.
At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised not to use private vehicles to go to the border posts and to replace them with mass transportation in order to preserve their safety and protection.
He also called for specifying the border point from which they intend to enter the Egyptian territory and awaiting the approval of the Lebanese diplomatic mission in Cairo.
The ministry thanked, through its Twitter account, all the brotherly countries that expressed their desire to help the Lebanese leave Sudan, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Jordan and Sudan.
According to Al-Mayadeen Al-Arabiya channel, the Sudanese army announced, yesterday, the start of the process of evacuating foreign residents and diplomatic missions requested by their countries.
