LG’s new stick vacuum with built-in robot has more power and cleans wet and dry

LG Electronics has announced a new model of its stick vacuum cleaner that it will be showcasing at IFA 2024, integrating a robot vacuum cleaner to make wet and dry cleaning easier. The South Korean company will be bringing the CordZero All-in-One Tower Combi to the IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin in September, which combines the CordZero A9X broom-style vacuum cleaner and the CordZero R5 robot vacuum cleaner. This new two-in-one model “integrates cleaning and maintenance,” said LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company President Leeu Jae-cheol. To do this, they’ve equipped it with an Auto Dual Empty function, which automatically empties the dust bins of both the vacuum and the robot vacuum. Likewise, when connected, both devices can be charged at the same time. The charging station acts as a central hub for all your vacuuming needs and prevents bacteria growth inside the disposable dust bag using UVC LED technology. The CordZero A9X upright vacuum cleaner features LG’s Smart Inverter motor and delivers more power through the motor’s rapid rotation motion, which generates powerful suction to capture dirt, dust, and debris. It also uses KOMPRESSOR technology, which compresses dirt and debris to increase the bucket capacity and reduce the frequency of emptying the bucket. The vacuum also features a spray mop to efficiently clean hard floors. For its part, the CordZero R5 robotic vacuum cleaner with mop has a comprehensive system responsible for cleaning and mopping the floor, in addition to automatically emptying the dust, filling the water, and washing the mop, LG highlighted in a press release. The robot uses a 360-degree LiDAR sensor to avoid obstacles and furniture. With a front-facing camera that works simultaneously with 3D sensors and other sensors, it is able to accurately track paths, recognizing up to 96 objects. The robotic vacuum cleaner cleans dust with a motor that provides suction power of up to 10,000Pa, while its mop rotates at a rate of 180 rpm.
