Marks&Spencer is teaming up with second-hand operator Sojo to launch repair operations

Marks&Spencer includes new circular services. The British company announced its alliance with the used company Sojo (specializing in clothing repair and adaptation) to launch a new clothing repair service.

Founded in 2021 by Josephine Phillips, Sojo has developed a business model for end customers and businesses, where they collect, repair or transform clothing and return it. Soho is already working with companies such as Ganni, Vestiare Collective or Temperley London.

The British retail group will create an online platform through which its customers can Select a range of repair services, from zipper changes to jacket repairs. Repair services will cost £5 and will be carried out by Soho.

New repair service It is part of Marks & Spencer’s circularity plan.which also includes eco-design initiatives and percentages of recycled fibers.

The British department store operator ended the 2023 financial year (ending March 24) with a 9% increase in sales and took its profit after tax to 16%.

The company’s sales amounted to £13.109 million (€15.344 million). Only the fashion and home accessories category grew by 5.3% compared to the previous year.Which represents a sales volume of £3.910 million (€4.576 million).
