The Microsoft team has announced that Bing chatbot will soon add an option that will allow you to further customize its dynamics.
No matter what conversation style you choose when interacting with a Bing chatbot, this new setting will allow you to exclude web searches in responses. We tell you the details.
Use Bing chatbot without including web search
Microsoft has polished the Bing chatbot and added new options in recent months. On the other hand, some restrictions have also been removed so that users can extend their conversations without getting interrupted.
And soon, it will add a new option that complements user requests: the ability to use the Bing chatbot without including web searches. Dynamic can be practical in some contexts.
For example, when querying Bing about topics that don’t need Internet-based answers, such as programming, math problems, and so on.
In these cases, users need to manually tell Bing to exclude web searches in responses. Although it is not a complicated task, since it is part of the laid out instructions, it will be simpler in the future.
As the Microsoft team states, “Official #nosearch support will be available soon.” This option may work in the same way as conversational styles (creative, balanced, subtle), and before chatting begins, the user can indicate not to include web search.
Of course, this mode can be changed at any time, either by deactivating the option, or by starting a new conversation. At the moment, Microsoft has not said when this new feature will be integrated, so we will have to wait and see if it is included in the next updates to Bing chatbot.
