The Venom power of Miles Morales in Spider-Man: Miles Morales can look a lot like the electricity left by The Flash when he activates it mid-fight. But a fan discovers a strange bug that turns Miles into a runner and practically turns into The Flash.
The video starts normally. The player swings across New York City as Miles in a bodega suit when his momentum stops when he crashes into a building. No problem, miles can run into the wall and quickly regain momentum. But in this case, the moment Miles turns the corner to the outside of the building, he picks up amazing speed and turns into flash.
This strange combination of comic book character skills sees Miles running toward the horizon, passing through several buildings without breaking his way, and seemingly moving forward while still running over an invisible wall in the water. Reach the far end of Brooklyn in a matter of seconds and keep moving, past the increasingly lower quality buildings of view. It’s still playing when the video ends, and we don’t know what will happen to the character next.
The video posted on the r/SpidermanPS4 subreddit by user Macsilver18 is titled “My name is Miles Morales, and I’m the fastest man in the world,” a clear reference to the introductory dialogue for the TV series The Flash on The CW. Commentators have come up with funny reasons for knowing where Miles is headed. The most common option is to rush to Symcaria to bring back Peter Parker. That may be true, as Miles is so far past Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island that he’s in open water at any given time.
A strange observation can be made regarding the background environment in Spider-Man: Miles Morales, as it is surprisingly rendered outside of buildings normally seen from Manhattan. Although the textures of the buildings were not fully loaded, some of their designs were considered. Most of them are not simple decorations, but have dimensions and varied in height, at least during the first levels of the horizon. Then, as Miles continues to run, she disintegrates.
Spider-Man’s opponents can rest easy, because this is just a bug and not another new gift that Miles accidentally discovered. However, it would be great to have a super-fast Spider-Man around.
