Kevin Bates, creator of the original Arduboy, an old 8-bit video game console based on Arduino and inspired by the legendary Game Boy console, is now going even further by launching a miniature version of his device, also based on Arduino, with the success of the Kickstarter campaign, which It only has six days left to close it.
Due to the small dimensions of Arduboy Miniwhich is the name given to this device, Bates had to It dispenses with both the case, the speaker, and the battery, though it does support power sources through its USB-C portalthough for those who wish, they will also have a series of clearly marked seams to be able to integrate the speaker and the battery themselves.
The new Arduboy Mini comes with Monochrome OLED display provides images with a resolution of 128 x 64 pixels. Inside it is an ATmega32u4 processor with a speed of 16MHz, and the device comes with a total of seven buttons, four on the front left side and two on the front right side, and there is a seventh button on the back dedicated to restarting the device.
Regarding the entertainment display device It already comes with over 300 retro games created by the 8-bit game developer communitybeing all open source games.
