During the 33rd session of the International Agri-Food Exhibition WorldFood Moscow, which was held in Moscow from September 19 to 22, countries from different parts of the world participated, including Latin American countries: Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru, the report said. . Notice.

The president of the Peruvian company Corporación Kajatt Vaccari SA, Francisco Kajatt Vaccari, who was present at the exhibition, commented that the logistical and financial chains were cut off after the start of the Ukrainian conflict, but he stressed that the company sees this as an opportunity.

He pointed out, “From another point of view, we see it as a great opportunity, because Russia was previously buying products from Peru using European intermediaries, and now the matter will be direct between Peru and Russia.”

Exporters GBC Foods, Sao José Agro, Lticínios Tirolez LTDA, Plantus, SL Trading, Unna Trading, West Food and Minerva Foords were present as representatives of Brazil.

São José Agro Director Nello Morlotti noted that various products outside the traditional Brazilian production chain are making their way to the Russian market, such as pico and sesame beans.

“Russia has countless consumers and a very high level of demand, because at the end of the day, the Russians manufacture their basic products a lot, so this makes a lot of sense for Brazilian agriculture,” Morlotti said.

In addition, he stressed that Russian fertilizers are very important for Brazilian agriculture, so the two countries “have a very close relationship” in this area.

In the case of Ecuador, bananas are one of the most valuable fruits in international trade, which is why all brands with a strong market position are exhibited every year at the WorldFood exhibition in Moscow.
