Thanks to a try after the siren from Jordy Barrett, New Zealand secured a long-overdue win against Australia (39-37) in Melbourne on Thursday, the fifth day of the Rugby Championship. Achieved (53-3) against Argentina.

With three wins from five matches, questionable coach Ian Foster’s men have cemented their lead at the top of the table ahead of Saturday’s Argentina-South Africa game.

The All Blacks, incidentally, make sure to retain the Bledislo Cup, a trophy awarded every year to the winners of successive Tests between the All Blacks and the Wallabies, which they have held since 2003.

The two maritime rivals meet again on Saturday 24 September at Eden Park in Auckland on the sixth and final day of the Rugby Championship.
