New Zealand on Sunday announced more stringent border controls, after registering cases of Covit-19 in areas previously without corona virus.

“We are introducing the need for all 17-year-olds and those on board flights and non-New Zealand nationals to be fully vaccinated to enter the country,” said Minister Christ Hipkins in response. COVID-19.

Air New Zealand, the national carrier, has announced that all international passengers will be vaccinated from February 1.

The country was able to control the virus, with only 27 deaths per five million population thanks to strict border controls and closures, which allowed it to resume pre-epidemic life.

When the new border controls entered the neighboring cities of Hamilton and Rockland into a five-day lockout, only the essential voyage was approved for two infections of the virus.

Auckland, 160 kilometers away, has been closed for nearly seven weeks due to the eruption of an infectious delta variant that has affected 1,320 people.

About 2,000 people took part in a closed weekend demonstration in Auckland, with Prime Minister Jacinta Arden calling for “a full room in the face” of people adhering to strict rules against public meetings.

Until the recent outbreak in Auckland was recorded, New Zealand was free from the social spread of the virus for six months.
