A 19-year-old Australian woman who was attacked by a shark on a beach in New Zealand has died on Thursday. The rescuers did not succeed and tried to revive her. There have been no shark attacks in the country since 2013.

Very rare attacks
Dangerous shark attacks are very rare in New Zealand. This is the first time since 2013. The last incident took place near Murawai beach, where a 47-year-old man was killed. Prior to that, the previous terrorist attack was pre-1976.
