The Paraguayan News Agency reported that the meeting discussed issues related to technical cooperation and financing for the development of Asuncion.
During the meeting, which will last until next Thursday, the main issues of progress in the region, the challenges facing Latin America and the Caribbean from a gender perspective and the challenges of decentralization in financial matters will be analyzed, the portfolio of tax authorities reported. .
Youth leadership, inclusion and ethno-ethnic diversity, as well as the introduction of the “For Everyone: Possible Change” initiative, are on the agenda of the meeting of the international organization, in which ministers and authorities from different countries participate.
The day before, CAF and the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (CEPAL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly promote integration and economic recovery.
Under the agreement, the two entities also committed to working together to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda, combat climate change and social policies and increase trade integration.
According to the official CAF website, at the opening session held the day before, credits worth $297m were approved for Argentina, Chile, Panama, Paraguay and Uruguay, in strategic sectors such as energy, infrastructure, education and agricultural exports. and inclusion, among others.
