Must Read

This is the third arrest of this kind that the former pitcher for several Major League Baseball (MLB) teams, including the New York Mets and Boston Red Sox, has been subjected to at the end of the last century.

His previous arrests occurred in 2016 and 2018, the latter of which pleaded guilty and served 40 days in county jail.

Under Texas law, a person convicted of a third offense of driving under the influence may face a fine of up to $10,000 and a suspension of their driver's license for up to two years.

Patrick Mahomes Sr. is 53 years old and played 11 seasons in the MLB with the Minnesota Twins between 1992 and 1996, with the Boston Red Sox from 1996 to 1997, and two more seasons with the New York Mets in 1999 and 2000. He spent his final three seasons with the Texas Rangers in 2001; Chicago Cubs, 2002; and the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2003.

He also played in the Japanese Central League with the Yokohama BayStars.

The father of the two-time champion and two-time Super Bowl MVP has attended several Chiefs games to support his son this season.

Until last week, he had planned to be in attendance on February 11 for Super Bowl LVIII where Kansas City will face the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
