Snapshots of the 2021 Environmental Photographer of the Year competition winners.
Within the framework of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP26) held from October 31 to November 12, announced Winners of the 2021 Environmental Photographer of the Year competition.
Over 7,000 shots were submitted to the competition by photographers from over 120 countries. In many images that highlight the environmental problems and the consequences of climate change on our world.
Spanish photographer Antonio Aragon Renuncio was the first place winner for his picture “Children of the Rising Tide,” which shows a boy sleeping inside his home devastated by coastal erosion in Ghana. The image draws attention to rising sea levels in West African countries, forcing thousands of people to flee their homes.
Similarly, the Young Environmental Photographer of the Year award went to Aman Ali of India for his work called “Hell,” which shows a boy battling fires in a forest near his home in New Delhi.
