The eldest son of King Charles III, who holds the position of head of state Football Association (FA)traveled to the stadium St. George’s ParkIn the English city of Burton upon Trent to talk with the national team and its coach, Gareth Southgate.
Guillermo gave shirts to each of the 26 players selected for the match in which they would play Serbia This Sunday.
The prince welcomed Southgate and noted that “within a few hours” the national team will prepare for its trip to Germany, where the tournament will begin on Friday.
During his conversation with the international players, the prince amusedly told them that when he took his children to school today, he asked them: “What do I tell the England team? The best advice they gave me is to eat.” Double what you normally eat.
