PRISA strengthens its sustainability structure with new positions

PRISA Group's strong commitment to sustainability, the emergence of environmental, social and governance standards in corporate management and increasing regulatory requirements in ESG matters have prompted PRISA Media to establish a new Sustainability Division and Environmental Management Directorate. From these positions, the implementation and coordination of the ESG strategy for the media and its brands will be strengthened, in accordance with the Group's Sustainability Master Plan 2022-2025.

Marta Gonzalez, Sustainability Director at Prisa Media

Marta González, current CEO of Caracol Radio-W Foundation in Colombia, will be the Director of Sustainability at PRISA Media. This position is newly created and is functionally dependent on the Sustainability Department at PRISA, led by Rosa Junquera.

In his new role, he will work to advance PRISA Media's sustainability strategy in accordance with the Group's guidelines and will coordinate the business unit's sustainability reporting, as well as its presence in forums and organizations in the ESG field.

González has worked for more than 20 years in various industries and entities in the public and private sectors and in non-profit entities (Avianca, Cementos Argos, El Fondo Nacional del Ahorro, Caracol Radio), designing sustainability initiatives and social impact projects. He earned his Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Los Andes and specialized in Marketing and International Negotiation at the EAFIT University of Medellin. He has also trained in strategy and leadership at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (Switzerland) and Northwestern University (USA).

Pablo Caillado, Director of Environmental Management at Prisa Media

The current Director of PRISA Publications Production and Distribution within the Directorate General of Operations, Pablo Caillado will combine his duties with the Environmental Management Directorate of PRISA Media. In these roles, he will report to PRISA Media's new Sustainability Director, Marta Gonzalez. In this position, you will lead and coordinate the implementation of the business unit's Environmental Management Plan, manage key environmental indicators and proactively promote the actions needed to achieve emissions reduction targets in line with the Group's Net Zero Roadmap.

Pablo Caillado (Villaviciosa Asturias, 1972) studied Industrial Technical Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and the UCE University of Birmingham, and obtained a Master's degree in Operations, Quality Management and Innovation at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He has developed his career at PRISA Group with various responsibilities related to industrial activity. He was director of printing factories in Barcelona, ​​Madrid, Valencia and Seville.

Last year, he actively collaborated with PRISA's Sustainability Department in creating the Group's Environmental Management Plan.
