Argentina Rugby Team Cougars 7s, lost 21-15 to New Zealand today and finished second in Group C of the sevens in Cape Town (South Africa) for the third date on the World Rugby (WR) circuit, advancing to the quarter-finals. Acted Mendoza Rodrigo Iscro.

Argentina’s goals against the All Blacks came through efforts from Agustin Fraga and Madias Ozatsuk, a conversion from Juan Manuel Molinueva and an Alejo Lavayne penalty.

New Zealand tallied with Akula Rogolisova adding two tries and three conversions (14 points) and a try from Roderick Solo.

In other group results, Spain beat New Zealand 14-10 and drew 5-5 against Kenya, with the All Blacks beating Kenya by 31.5.

New Zealand topped the group with seven points, Argentina added seven points (tying the result between them), Spain six and Kenya four.

The other groups are made up as follows: A: South Africa, France, Fiji and Canada; B: Ireland, Samoa, Uruguay and Japan and D: USA, Australia, Great Britain and Uganda.

Australia won the first date in Hong Kong and South Africa in the second in Dubai. Argentina finished fifth and sixth in both tournaments.

South Africa and Australia lead the way with 32 units, followed by France with 30, Ireland with 29, USA and Fiji with 27, New Zealand, Argentina and Samoa with 25 each.
