So far, 11 people involved in the attack have been arrested, including the four attackers who opened fire on the crowd at Crocus City Hall. The Russian Interior Ministry stated that all those detained were foreign citizens.

The four suspects were arrested on the M3 highway linking Moscow to Bryansk, just four kilometers from the border with Ukraine, the country to which they planned to escape and where they had contacts, according to Russian services.

For its part, Ukraine denied any involvement in the attack.

The Russian authorities canceled all public and entertainment events scheduled for the coming days. While March 24 was declared a national day of mourning.

Many world leaders stood in solidarity with the Russian people and condemned the attack in stronger terms.
