HAVANA, March 13 (RHC) The State Department (MINRIX) reported today that Cuba is still in contact with Poland to identify 35 citizens of the island at the border between that country and Belarus.
According to the Director of Consular Affairs and Cuban Residents Abroad of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ernesto Soberon, the diplomatic commissariat of that Eastern European country will continue exchanges with local authorities to obtain the required information about the status of these people.
More recently, MINRICS has indicated that it closely follows the arrival of Cuban citizens to Poland, Slovakia, Romania and Hungary from Ukraine, with whom it maintains contacts.
He also emphasized that Cuban diplomatic missions would provide information and consular attention to those who need it.
According to that source, more than 250 citizens of the island have returned from Russia after the start of that country’s military operation in Ukraine on February 24.
The Cuban Consulate in that Eurasian country is still in contact with our citizens there, in order to provide the necessary assistance and support their efforts to return to Cuba, as detailed in his Twitter profile. (Source: PL)
