New York (EFE).- Canadian rapper Drake surprised his followers by announcing that he would retire from the stage for at least a year to address a health problem that has plagued him for years.
“I probably won’t be doing music for a while. I need to focus on my health first and foremost, and I’ll be talking about that soon,” the singer said during his SiriusXM show “Table for One.”
The award-winning artist also noted that he had “crazy stomach problems for years. “I’m just saying what it is.”
“So I need to focus on my health and I need to do it well, and I will do that. “I have many other things that I like to focus on,” the artist told his audience, without giving further details about his illness.
As he told them in his surprise announcement, “I will close the studio door for a moment. I don’t even know (how much). “Maybe a year or so, maybe a little more.”
The singer’s announcement comes at a time when he has released his eighth album, “For All The Dogs,” which contains 23 songs performed alongside guest artists such as Bad Bunny, Sza, 21 Savage, Chief Kee, Sexxy Red and others.
Also after last Thursday, he presented his 5-year-old son, Adonis, in the video of his new song “8AM in Charlotte,” which is the second song from Drake’s eighth album. He bought Tupac’s ring last July and sold Shakur at auction for more than a thousand dollars. Million dollars.
