After Los Pumas’ fourth ever title on Kiwi soil on the Sevens World Tour, Rodrigo Isgro, one of the key figures in the Santiago Gomez Cora-led team, reflected on his experience in Hamilton.
“It was an incredible match; I think we went from less to more. Our aim was to get past the quarter-final barrier, which we didn’t achieve in the first three matches of the season, and I think we could beat New Zealand at home and be champions. It’s hard to take what that means.
“We’re happy, we’re very happy, and it just wants to keep working Correct the mistakes we made and continue to grow as a team through all that lies ahead. Our goal is to finish the season in the top four of the standings and qualify @Paris2024We know how to get it We still have a long way to go. It was a big step but we cannot sustain this record and we want to go further. And thank you to everyone who supported us throughout the year, none of this would have been possible without everyone’s support”, closed Mendoza again.
