San Jose student dies in accident – NBC Bay Area

Must Read

The San Jose family remembers an excellent athlete, and a great son and brother.

Bryant Rosas, he was returning to San Jose from Kansas, last Tuesday. But first I was going to stop in Colorado, where my cousin lives. There he was surprised by a winter storm that caused the accident that stole his life.

Bryant’s brother, Hector Rosas, said his brother “wanted access to the family, he hadn’t seen us in five months and he really wanted to come home.”

With tears in his eyes, Hector remembered the last words his brother had dedicated to him that “I love you” was what he said to me and that I would look at him when he got home.

Hector and his mother shared with Telemundo 48 that Bryant never made it to his cousin’s house, but they got a call the next day, letting them know Bryant had been in an accident.

Visibly shocked by what happened, Hector’s mother Maribel Rosas said the memory of Bryant gives her strength “I know he gives me that strength from there, because I don’t even know how to stand.”

Bryant spent his senior year in Kansas, playing for Benecitine College, and previously playing for San Jose City College.

The team posted a message on Twitter saying, in part, “We will miss your tan personality, your warm smile, and the concerts you gave us in the locker room.”

His mother said, “He was very happy, he loved to dance, he loved to come and relax in all places.”
