The Argentine Nuclear Energy Commission (CNEA) is seeking advice on the planned purchase of prototype equipment for the Carem-25 reactor.
The 32-megawatt modular reactor, which will cost US$700 million, is under construction in the province of Buenos Aires. A central goal is to validate the design and provide technical inputs to the engineers designing the Karem plant on a commercial scale.
Bids for the 12-month consultancy contract are set to open on November 10, according to bid documents published by CNEA.
Carem-25 is the first reactor designed and built nationwide in Argentina. Its debut will start in 2027.
