The College of Veterinarians of Zaragoza is part of the institutional group responsible for promoting Aragon's candidacy as the headquarters of the State Public Health Agency. This important step strengthens the position of Zaragoza and the Autonomous Community in the struggle to host this entity of great importance in the field of public health.
During the first meeting, chaired by the Minister of Health of the Government of Aragon, José Luis Bancalero Flores, and the Director General of Public Health, Nuria Gayan, the maximum commitment and support for this initiative was demonstrated.
The College of Veterinarians of Zaragoza provides a valuable perspective on public health and animal welfare, essential aspects of the mission of the future state public health agency. Veterinarians play a critical role in zoonotic disease prevention, food safety, and promoting appropriate animal health practices.
The institutional group is composed of representatives of different ministries of the Government of Aragon, the Zaragoza City Council, the Arahealth Health Group, the Superior Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), the professional associations of medicine, nursing, pharmacy, veterinary medicine and journalists, the Aragon Federation of Municipalities, Districts and Districts, the Spanish Primary Care Network and the Zaragoza Provincial Council. .
