The automotive sector is the key to the economy and the country’s future. As it develops, it faces the challenge of meeting the demands imposed by climate change, with the move towards electric mobility or increasingly stringent regulations regarding polluting emissions. At such a defining, challenging and exciting moment for all industry participants, and for the first time all PRISA Media publishers are coming together to launch the first edition of the PRISA Automotive Awards.
The awards will honor excellence, innovation, quality and talent in the automotive sector and will be presented by PRISA Media headlines: EL PAÍS, AS, Cinco Días, El HuffPost, SER, LOS40, ICON and S Moda. Each media outlet advocates for the selection of these awards in eight categories: Car of the Year, Electric Vehicle, Connectivity and Technology, Urban Car, Design, SUV of the Year, Readers’ Car, and Manager of the Year.
The winners of the first edition of the PRISA Automotive Awards will be announced on the 4th of September Through group media and on the website created for the event. The selection of the winners will be handled by a team of journalists from PRISA Motor, who keep abreast of the sector and its products on a daily basis, led by Alejandro Elortegui, Director of New Projects at PRISA Media. The six dedicated professionals will select three finalists from whom the winner in each category will emerge.
The award ceremony, which will take place at the Hipódromo de la Zarzuela in Madrid on Thursday the 14th, will include the participation of personalities from the automotive sector: executives, representatives of brands and companies related to the activity, representatives of public bodies and associations and politicians with competences in the sector, among others.
In the privileged environment of the Hipódromo de la Zarzuela, participants and guests will be able to discover the latest developments in terms of engine technology, design and sustainability. The winning vehicles will be the heroes of the event, as they will be unveiled over the weekend at the facilities for the enjoyment of those who visit.
