The respondent has a professional health agent to care for the rural community located 80 kilometers from the capital city of Jujuy.
“Together with rural APS, nursing professionals, health agents and maintenance personnel, we conducted an evaluation of the San Bernardo Health Post, which was previously based on Tilcara Hospital and now corresponds to the program area covering the North Specialty Center (CEN),” explained the Foundation’s Director, Marcelo Labarta.
After reaching the health responder via Ocloyas, and crossing the Catre River with signals from the La Huella Gaucha Association along a mountain path that breaks in the rainy seasons, “we formally took possession of the post, verifying that the post is in optimal infrastructural conditions and committed to providing essential materials, supplies and medicines while caring for families, with the controls of clinical medicine,” he added.
On this occasion, a meeting was also held with the community where the elderly mostly reside and expect at least two comprehensive health courses per year in the district. Health Post is also working in a coordinated fashion, with 12 students attending the primary school.
