The delegation composed of, among others, Yoselin Ramiro Ruiz, Director of Training and Improvement, and Claudia Ferrero, International Relations Specialist of the organization, participated in the 30th Assembly of the Ibero-American Sports Council (CID) and in the meeting of the Council of Central America and the Caribbean (Concecide).

Representatives of the International Olympic Committee, the Spanish Professional Football League, the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (Unaoc), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and other international entities are also attending.

Among the topics discussed, those related to the cooperation program between UNESCO and CID and the presentation of the project plan for Ibero-American indicators in sustainable development, as well as the exchange of a proposal for intervention in the fight against violence, racism and xenophobia in sports, stood out.

The progress achieved in the implementation of the IOC Strategy 365 has found space on the agenda in the context of cooperation with the Ibero-American Council, the Prometeo Project of the Real Madrid Foundation, and the Ibero-American Network for Women and Sports.

It was also revealed that Colombia was unanimously chosen to organize the 2025 Central American and Caribbean School Games.

In the absence of Venezuela, one of the countries aspiring to the presidency of CONCICAD, he proposed holding an extraordinary assembly within two months, during which Panama would remain president of the Council.

Today, the South American country issued a note of protest against the US State Department's refusal to participate.

During the discussions, the Cuban delegation denounced the ill-treatment it received at the event's headquarters, as the organizers failed to adhere to the laws established for all participating organizations.

Without guaranteeing housing or transportation, the Cubans described the incident as discriminatory and considered it a crude attempt to isolate the island from these meetings, whose primary goal is to consolidate relations between countries that allow the promotion of sports in the region.
