Cuba. A delegation from Cuba, consisting of officials from the Chamber of Commerce and Pro Cuba, participated in Expocomer 2023 International, which was held in Panama City from March 28 to 30 this year.
Manuel Comprado, Deputy Director of Pro Cuba, had important meetings with companies from the Colon Free Zone, including BridgeMarkets, which operates a sales and promotion platform in the area, and with Alcázar, which has shown interest in doing business in Cuba.
This important fair, which takes place every year in Panama, seeks to promote business meetings between various international and national companies, mainly in the sectors of logistics, food, technology and electronics.
Cuba participates every year in this meeting, showing an important range of commercial opportunities, bearing in mind that Panama has been an important trading partner for the largest of the Antilles.
Recently, during a visit to the island by Federico Alfaro, Head of Trade and Industry of the Canal State, the current economic complementation agreement was reviewed and it was agreed to reactivate the agreements that existed before the Covid-19 pandemic with the Investment Attraction and Export Promotion Authority.
