The Party’s supreme leader then called for paying more attention to beautifying and promoting national cultural values, absorbing modern culture, developing the soft power of Vietnamese culture, and contributing to enhancing the strength of national unity.

Thi Thanh also noted that on June 18, National Assembly deputies discussed this bill in groups and stressed that “this content is of interest to many voters.”

In this regard, he requested that discussions be focused on aspects such as property rights and other matters related to cultural heritage, on development policies in this area, the protection of monuments, decentralization in the management, protection and promotion of heritage values, and on the Fund for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage.

Before the start of discussions on the draft law, the Vietnamese National Assembly today approved by majority votes resolutions on testing a series of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Nghe An Province and the coastal city of Da Nang.
