Twitter has announced that the option to edit posts is now available in some user accounts of its Twitter Blue subscription service, particularly in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
The tech company announced the start of internal tests of the edit button in early September, and a few days ago, it shared its first tweet edited in this paid mode, promising at the time that it was only a functional test.
Thanks to this option, the tweet will include a pencil icon next to the publishing time and a note that says ‘Last Edited’. Clicking on it will display a history detailing the changes made.
Now, after conducting these tests, Twitter has indicated that post editing is being rolled out to Twitter Blue subscribers in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
The functionality is expected to reach other countries soon, however, the company has only hinted that it will be available “soon” for US users.
Keep in mind that Twitter Blue members can make up to five changes to their post within 30 minutes once this button is available in different areas.
