G Statscounter, a company that monitors the use of search engines, revealed the ranking of the most popular platforms among users.

Leader of the most used internet browsers in 2023
Since the introduction of Google in 1997, the company has dominated the search engine market, while the share of all other tools has been completely unbalanced. The majority of Google's revenue is generated through advertising.
Its parent company, Alphabet, was as of 2022 one of the largest internet companies in the world, with a market capitalization of US$1.3 trillion. The company has also expanded its services to include email, productivity tools, enterprise products, mobile devices, and other businesses.
As a result, Google achieved one of the highest revenues for technology companies in 2022, at approximately US$279.8 billion.
Use of browsers in other latitudes
Google is the most used search engine in the world. But in some countries, its alternatives lead or compete with it to some extent. In the third quarter of 2022, more than 62 percent of Internet users in Russia were using Yandex, while Google users were approximately 36 percent. In China, Baidu was the most used search engine in December 2021, accessed by nearly 86% of the country's internet users.
In other countries, such as Japan and Mexico, people tend to use Yahoo with Google. In the first quarter of 2022, nearly 56 percent of respondents in Japan said they had used Yahoo in the past four weeks. In the same year, more than 27 percent of users in Mexico said they used Yahoo. Another search engine, Bing, operated by Microsoft, was the second most popular search engine in the UK after Google.
