To solve the problem, several soldiers got off the bus to lift the car out of the way. Their incredible strength showing the players moving the vehicle was recorded and shared on the team’s social networks.
The group lifted the Land Rover several times until the bus moved forward, greeted with cheers, and got back on board to continue the journey.
New Zealand take on Argentina in the first semi-final of the Rugby World Cup in Paris on Friday. The winning teams will face either England or South Africa in the final on October 28.
Three-time winners New Zealand will be hoping to overtake South Africa to win the series for the fourth time as the most successful nation.
Head coach Ian Foster played down suggestions his team had been “under the radar” until now. “I don’t know how overlooked we were,” he told reporters. “We won’t be overlooked next week.
