Concern over José Manuel Parada’s health: hospital photo raises alarm

José Manuel Parada was the iconic face of the now defunct Cinema de Barrio. But the presenter, who is also the ex-husband of Chiloe García Cortés, left a few years ago. Little was heard of him on the front lines of television, at least in the major national media.

However, we have now heard from the eccentric broadcaster again through his Instagram profile where he shared a disturbing photo that set off alarm bells among his followers.

The TV actor appears with a probe in his nose and on a hospital bed for a problem that is still unknown. Likewise, he wanted to reassure viewers with a direct connection to the Y Ahora Sonsoles program, a space in which he will also begin working as a collaborator once he has fully recovered.

José Manuel Parada is not having the best of times. The famous TV collaborator recently suffered a health condition that he himself described as an “unexpected setback”.

It all started last weekend when he went to the hospital emergency room, after experiencing severe abdominal pain. There, doctors diagnosed him with a serious gallbladder infection, which required immediate intervention.

According to what he said on the “Juntos” program on Telemadrid, the specialists warned him that his condition was critical and that the operation could not wait even half an hour.

After the intervention, the broadcaster was forced to spend several days in the hospital, and after a positive development, he was released yesterday, Thursday, and his batteries are more charged than ever before.

In an emotional appearance on the program “And Now, Sonsoles,” the former presenter of the “Cinema de Barrio” program expressed his relief and gratitude for overcoming this difficult moment. He commented, “I was very sick, but I’m better now. I left the hospital yesterday. I have two or three days left to fully recover and… now we can begin the daily struggle in life and work.” He smiles.

However, in addition to his recovery, Parada shared news that delighted many of his followers: the journalist will join the team of the program “And now, Sonsoles” as a collaborator.
