The Vietnamese acrobatic duo Giang Brothers accepted an invitation to travel to Spain in order to break their own world record, which they set in 2016.
The original record was set in 2016 when the duo climbed 90 steps in 52 seconds while doing head-to-head balancing.
The circus performers are scheduled to travel to Spain on December 17 and undergo several days of training and cultural exchange before taking on the challenge on December 23.
This time they will attempt to climb a total of 100 steps in less than a minute in the same place, Girona Cathedral, in Catalonia.
Quoc Co and Quoc Nghiep achieved international fame for the first time after taking the top four places in Britain’s Got Talent 2018.
In 2016, the pair also broke a Guinness World Record when they climbed Girona Cathedral 90 degrees in just 52 seconds, balancing on top of each other using only face-to-face contact.
They set a Guinness World Record in 2018 for ‘walking up and down ten stairs blindfolded and balancing head-on’ during a show filmed in Italy.
The Vietnamese duo also won several local and international circus awards, including the Grand Prix at the 10th International Circus Festival “Circo 2011” in Havana, Cuba. In addition, they have received three awards at the 13th International Circus Festival in Italy, including a silver medal and two small titles awarded by the world-famous circus groups Monte Carlo Circus and Cirque du Soleil, along with the Silver Lion at the 13th International 2011 Festival Circus in Hebei Province, China.
