According to the English mediator CBS, the investment group, led by Chelsea fan Mohammed Al-Kharji, made an offer to buy the club after the departure of the Russian Roman Abramovich.

According to Ben Jacobs of CBS Sports, the Saudi media group entered the race for the London club. The investment group is led by Mohamed Al-Kharji, a Chelsea fan. The Saudi media group has no direct links to the country’s government, unlike the Public Investment Fund that bought Newcastle earlier this season.
Jacobs adds that the Saudi media group receives “support in finding funding and sponsors” from Mohammed bin Khalid Al Saud, the chairman of the Saudi Telecom Company. The graduate was in Stamford Bridge in November in a 1-1 draw with Manchester United. He previously lived in the United Kingdom, where he attended Cass Business School in London. The graduates have relations with the Saudi Al-Nasr and Al-Hilal clubs.
