United States Postal Service (USPS) users will face some transitions in the coming months. Among the planned changes are the creation of new tools, different prices and updated stamps. This federal agency works for the Delivering for America (DFA) program. For this reason, North Americans who use mail will be offered an innovative digital tool this Christmas.
This virtual app is called the USPS Holiday Newsroom, which Americans will be able to interact with in real time. This way, the steps to follow are simpler, and this way deliveries will be made more quickly during the holidays.
USPS reports that through internet-enabled devices, people will be able to see low prices, review shipments and receive suggestions from specialists. The platform will contain various options that respond to citizens’ concerns during celebrations.
Another good news from USPS is that no additional taxes will be imposed on these rest day amounts for families. This distributor is expected to be the cheapest in the country next Christmas.
US Post Office raises prices by 2024
Analysts believe residents should expect an increase in USPS rates this winter, because the surcharges will not be paid. A few days ago, the Post Office informed the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) of proposing different rates for 2024 operations.
It is expected that prices will be replaced in postal services on January 21 of next year. The excess amount must be more than 2%.
Postmaster General Louis DeJoy explained that attractive stamps will be designed for 2024. They will be dedicated to the Year of the Dragon, the Underground Railroad, and Pinback buttons. Stamps will also be made in honor of the late Judge Constance Baker Motley and writer Saul Bellow.
