On Saturday noon, the Venezuelan government delegation, headed by the Plenipotentiary Representative, Jorge Rodriguez, arrived in Mexico to start the third dialogue meeting with the opposition.
The arrival of the delegation raised high hopes after the flight that was scheduled for Friday was rescheduled.
According to the President of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodriguez, this new negotiating table will demand the return of assets stolen from the South American country abroad.
Jorge Rodriguez wrote in an unusual way: “We have come to the beautiful and hospitable land of Mexico to defend the right and dignity of Venezuela. Wait for our news.”
After arriving in Mexico to continue the dialogue, a government delegation took part in a symbolic action to demand the release of Alex Saab kidnapped in Cape Verde. The diplomat was recently integrated by the parties at the negotiating table.
The dialogue, mediated by Norway, is expected to resume at a hotel in Paseo de la Reforma, in Mexico City, where a security apparatus has been arranged with the Metropolitan Police.
