Mario Kart has been rated the most stressful video game ever, according to a new report.
09 November 2022 16.23.23
A new study was literally taking the gaming community’s pulse to measure How exhausting it is to play differently Toys By monitoring your heart rate. BonusFinder gaming and betting site has discovered that not all games are created equal when it comes to the level of stress they can cause players.
In the study, 14 players played 16 different games and measured their heart rate as they played to see which raised it the most on average. The first game might be a bit surprising, although once you think about it, it actually makes a lot of sense. These are the five most stressful games:
Mario Kart
I know this sounds like weird number one, but remember the most intense Mario Kart races. There’s the pressure of getting left behind and trying to catch up, but even if you’re at the front of the pack, Mario Kart is designed to give the players behind you myriad tools to get you out of first place, so you’ll never really be sure. As a battle runner, you are not only fighting on the track but other players who are full of bananas that are thrown at you. I totally understand why this is number one.
FIFA
I can understand why there’s a sports game here, although FIFA isn’t exactly a mile-per-minute game, so I’m a little surprised to see it. Very long. Sure, our dedicated FIFA players have played some strong matches, but it’s also…Football, and I’d be surprised if other sports weren’t better. As far as I can tell, no other sports have been tested.
Call of duty
One of the most powerful shooting games in the market with super fast kill time and constant adrenaline rush as you turn the corner and get shot or fired by your opponents. I totally understand why you are here.
Evil spirits
The only single player game on the list, and I mean, given the intensity of Dark Souls fighting, even against low-level enemies most of the time, where death means retreat, has its rightful place.
fortnite
A lot of Fortnite matches, at least the first part, involves just wandering around trying to find people to kill, but once you get into a battle royale/construction battle? Yes, it is really intense.
Also measured by your maximum heart rateThat changed the menu a bit:
There were limits to the number of games this studio could test, and it’s interesting to take a look at the full list to see what wasn’t in the top 5:
- Mario Kart
- FIFA 20
- Call of Duty (Modern Warfare)
- Dark Souls III
- fortnite
- condemnation
- fall guys
- battlefield
- Street Fighter
- Between us
- grand theft auto
- One!
- Sims
- animal crossing
- Maine Craft
- Skyrim
Skyrim is totally relaxing in video game form, so it makes sense. Animal crossing should be used as a kind of basis. It’s a bit surprising that Battlefield V is not on the main menu. Between us It also feels like something to get your pulse racing during a particularly tough match. Sims s Maine Craft… less.
Anyway, the top 5 games make sense to me, although I’d like to see more tested games. A follow-up study may be necessary.
