Inclement weather and air travel disruptions have disrupted the vacation plans of hundreds of thousands of people during one of the busiest periods since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
And companies canceled about 5,600 flights yesterday, about a quarter of the schedule, as snowfall battered cities from the Pacific Northwest to the East Coast, bringing life-threatening cold weather to many regions.
Today the FAA warned of delays in Chicago, and delays in Washington, D.C., New York, Boston and Philadelphia due to high winds and snow.
“Seattle, San Francisco, and airports serving Colorado ski resorts could face setbacks,” he added.
The source indicated that more than 2,200 flights were canceled during the day and another 5,000 flights were postponed.

The statement added that snow storms will affect the Midwest to the Northeast, and travel will be extremely dangerous, and impossible in certain areas.
