The Vice President believes that after exercising their right to vote, Venezuelans came this Sunday to vote for the basic consensuses of society such as peace, democracy, economic recovery and the promotion of social welfare.

Rodriguez called on citizens to vote peacefully and calmly in order to defend the country’s sovereignty against internal and external aggression.

The political leader said that this Sunday peace, democracy, economic progress, social development and the right to recover Guayana Esquiba will be defended.

In this regard, he appreciated that the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, the security agencies and the Civil-Military Police Union ensure that this day passes completely normally and guarantees peace throughout the country.

He stressed that the Venezuelan people have given enough lessons and messages regarding their right to live in peace and work for their future and for hope.

Rodriguez expressed the desire of Venezuelans to fully exercise all their rights without a “criminal blockade against their economy.”

Regarding the electoral system, the Minister of Economy and Planning also praised it as very fast, transparent, reliable and secure.

The Executive Vice President reiterated that in Venezuela there is only one authority, the National Electoral Council, which is the only authority whose results are legitimate, and the rest are just a show.

In other words, he asserted that the Bolivarian Republic has the right to advance, towards the future, towards hope, and to be unhindered, promoted by a sector of the opposition and implemented by imperialist governments.

For this Sunday, the CNE enabled a total of 15,797 polling stations across the country and 30,026 tables, where more than 21.3 million voters were called to vote.
