According to the plans, once the new industry is up and running, it will produce 24,000 tons of green hydrogen and 195,000 tons of oxygen per year.

The Chairman of the Tra Vinh People’s Committee, Le Van Han, said that the construction of this plant will enable the province to achieve its goal of achieving sustainable economic growth, and also become one of the green energy centers in the Mekong Delta region and across the country. .

Vietnam is making progress in promoting the development of renewable energy resources, including green hydrogen, with the goal of achieving the goal of net zero emissions by 2050.

By the standards of specialists, by that date, this Indo-Chinese country will need about 58.3 million tons of renewable hydrogen each year, which is an estimated figure based on the scenario of government policies on the path to reducing emissions of each industry, transportation and energy.
