The platform, which is owned by Facebook, through its Twitter profile has recalled three jobs it has included in the app in recent weeks to “update the way its users chat”.
The first news is that the file editor has arrived in the desktop version of WhatsApp. With it, users can use their connected computers to add stickers and text to photos, as well as crop and rotate them, a task that previously could only be done from the mobile app.
The second of the new features affects the preview of links, which has been improved to now complete, so that people who receive them have more context before clicking on them.
The highlights of WhatsApp end with the arrival of ‘sticker’ suggestions, reducing the tabs you have to scroll through to find one of these if you want to send a conversation.
WhatsApp has made this task easier and faster with contextual ‘stickers’, so that stickers are suggested while the user is typing, as is already the case with emojis. The app ensures that with this feature, you cannot see your personal searches and messages, and they are protected by end-to-end encryption.
