Elsa Campoverde took her grandson to the Shimbakale Health Center, in southern Quito, to receive a chickenpox vaccination.

According to the Minister of Health, José Royales, this health center was the first in which obstetric care was provided. His care began in the 1960’s.

He added that the infrastructure project is ready for the intervention and expansion of the second floor of that health unit.

Julio Camacho, technical director of the health center in Chimpakkale, stated that the rehabilitation started in November 2022.
