The 32 choices – distributed into eight groups of four – including three to be confirmed in February – in the inaugural edition of the qualifiers.
A playoff to determine the three remaining spots will take place from February 17 to 23 in New Zealand between Paraguay, Chile, Haiti, Cameroon, Chinese Taipei, Papua New Guinea, Panama, Portugal, Senegal and Thailand.
Unlike the 2019 World Cup in France, which had 24 teams, the next ecumenical event – from July 20 to August 20 – will have 32 nations in the women’s category for the first time. If Portugal enters, Europe will have a total of 12 countries, although each group can only have two Europeans.

For Argentina, this will be the fourth participation in their history after playing in the USA 2003, China 2007 and France 2019 editions. In no case did it make it past the first round.
In the 2003 and 2007 Cups, Argentina lost all three games in the zone. In 2019, on the other hand, the national team drew two games in the group stage (0-0 with Japan and an epic 3-3 comeback against Scotland) and lost 1-0 against England to finish 18th.
Argentina did not qualify for the World Cup in China in 1991, and did not qualify for Sweden 1995, USA 1999, Germany 2011 and Canada 2015.
